271. Optei por fazer umas saídas de ar, típicas neste carro. Ajudam a circular o ar debaixo do capot.
Socorri-me de uma máquina com um punção próprio na fábrica do meu amigo Hermínio, que teve a amabilidade de me aturar.

I opted by making some louvres in the bonet, with the help of my friend Herminio who has the special tool required for the purpose in his factory.
272. O resultado final.

The job done.
273. Alem do efeito prático, gosto do aspecto.

Besides the practical effect, I like that look.
274. Um pequeno problema resolvido. O capot fazia uma pequena flecha no meio. Fiz um 'omega' em alumínio
e colei-o com mastique próprio.

Solving a little problem. The bonet had a slitly curve in the middle. I made a 'omega' in alu and glued it with proper sealant adesive.

 
275. Enquanto espero pela pintura do capot, vou tratar da protecção da panela de escape. Usei inox de 0,8mm punçoado numa máquina CNC.

Meanwhile when I wait for the bonet paint job I'll make the silencer heat shield. Made of 0.8mm stainless steel and punched in a CNC machine.
276. Pormenor. Três peças em forma de 'omega' soldadas por ponto em cada extremo da protecção.
Depois são apertadas à panela com uma abraçadeira.

Detail. Three 'omega' shaped bits in each end of the shield, spot welded.
Then they are fastened with a jubilee clip.

 
277. De volta às matrizes dos guarda-lamas.
Depois de uma primeira demão de primário sobre o gesso, apliquei betume de poliester.

Back to the mudguards bucks.
After a first hand of primer I aplied a coat of filer.
 
278. Depois de cortado o betume, voltei a dar nova demão de primário. A seguir catei as irregularidades até a superfície ficar perfeita e nova demão fina de primário só para cobrir os betumes.

After sanding the filer I aplied a new hand of primer. Then put filer on some spots until surface look good to me.
Followed a thin hand of primer to cover the spots.
279. Segue-se a pintura final. Duas demãos fartas com lixagem entre elas.

Follows the final painting. Two hands of paint with sanding between.
280. Depois o polimento. Aí estão elas já polidas.

Then the polish job. There they are already polished.
