261. Já com o filtro de ar aplicado e devidamente contornado.

With the air filter in place, contoured by the cardboard.
 
262. O molde sobre a chapa de alumínio de 1,5mm protegida com película.

The mock-up cardboard layed over the 1,5mm alu sheet  protected with adesive film.
263. Pormenores. Confirmação do comprimento do contorno do capot com uma banda de PVC.

Details. Confirmation of the lenght of bonet contour with a PVC ribon.
264. O desenho totalmente passado e rectificado para o alumínio.

The lines totally drawn and corrected to the alu sheet.
265. O capot já recortado com a serra de recortes (tico-tico). Algumas partes foram aplainadas, depois os bordos foram lixados com dois tipos de grão.
Amanhã vou à oficina de um amigo calandrar o capot.

The bonet already sawn with the jig saw. Some parts were faired with a wood planer, then all the borders were sanded with two types of grain.
Tomorrow I'll go to a friend shop to curve it in a plate bending machine.

267. O capot finalmente no sítio.

The bonet finally in situ.

 
268. Um aperto com cintas para verificar os rebordos.
Há que remarcar para efectuar pequenos retoques.
Entretanto há que dizer que o capot está assente em fita amortecedora colada na borda do nariz e do tabique.

Fastenned with belts to check the border lines.
I have to make some little adjustments.
The bonet is layed over a strip of foam in the borders with nosecone and acuttle.
269. Marcados os bordos laterais, vamos proceder à quinagem manual.
Em baixo pode ver-se já o trabalho feito.

The lateral borders are now marked. Só lets go fold the piece.
Below you can see the job done.

 
270. E o capot finalmente no sítio. Gostei do trabalho.
De referir que vai ser pintado em azul.

And now the bonet in place. I'm pleased with this job.
Don't forget it will be painted in blue.
