 Building a Sevenesque

201. Resolvi fazer estes paineis em duas partes de modo a poder trabalhar com mais comodidade. Entretanto na zona junto ao acelerador tive de abrir uma janela para poder meter o acelerador, que por sua vez teve de ser retirado para se poder trabalhar.

I made these pannels in two pieces to be easier to work. Meanwhile I had to make a window near the throttle pedal because it had to be moved in a way I can work.

202.  A janela tapada.

The window is closed.

203. O serviço feito.

The job is done.

204.  Agora passamos para os paineis exteriores do cockpit. As linhas são desenhadas sobre a película protectora.

Now lets pass to the cockpit pannels. The lines are drew over the protective sheet.
205. Pormenores. Neste caso os entalhes para encaixarem nas brackets posteriores.

Details. In this case the notches to be put near the brackets of trailing arms.
206.  O corte é feito com serra de recortes. Mas o corte produz pequenas partículas, logo há que pôr a máscara.

The cuts are made with a jig saw. But this job produces small particles of aluminium, so lets put the mask.
207. Depois de afagadas as arestas e feitos os furos, começamos a fazer as primeiras quinagens manuais.

After fairing the borders and made the holes, we start to make the first manual foldings.

 
208. A parte do fundo foi quinada à máquina, depois passa-se às quinagens superiores, uma de cada vez manualmente como na imagem anterior.

The bottom foldings were made in the folding machine. The upper were made one at a time and manually, like in the previous image.
209. Tudo tem de bater certo. Repare-se à esquerda, o painel teve de entrar dentro dum buraco sob o scuttle.

All have to be just fine. Look in the left, the panel entered in a hole bellow the scuttle.
210. Colado, apertado e rebitado. Gosto de utilizar madeiras nestes trabalhos metálicos :)
Atenção: tenho de dizer que os furos são feitos ainda com a película de modo a proteger o alumínio, que depois é retirada somente nessa zona e
em seguida metidos os rebites.

Glued, fastened and riveted. I like to utilize wood
along with this metal works :)
Attention: I have to say that the holes are made with the protective sheet, then it is taken off only in that zone, after this we put the rivets on.
