Aqui se mostra a pedaleira, bem como um dos desenhos e uma maquete para
verificar se estava tudo bem. Pode parecer haver alguma complexidade, mas
teve de ser tomado em conta que se quis aproveitar o máximo de componentes
possível do Toyota, nomeadamente os pedais, ou partes deles e engrenagens da
embraiagem. Here I show my pedalbox, along with one drawing and mockup. Some complexity, I know, but it had to be this way, because I wanted to reutilize (as all the time) maximum pieces possible of donor Toyota, like clutche and brake pedals, or parts of them. |

Ensaiando o conjunto do pedal do acelerador pouco modificado do carro dador.
Por baixo pode já ver-se o caminho percorrido pelo cabo da embragem. Trial with throtle and pedal slightly modified from donor's. Below we can see the clutch cable path. |

Vista do interior da pedaleira, onde se vê o jogo feito entre o pedal da
embraiagem, a roldana e o cabo. Parece complicado, mas é mais ou menos como
o Toyota funcionava. Tudo joga muito perto da direcção e alguns tubos do
chassis. Interior view of pedal box. We see the clutch pedal combination with that plastic wheel and the cable. Looks complicated? Not so, because Toyota's worked more or less like that. All that set works very close to steering column and some chassis tubes. |

Forma de definir onde fazer passar o cabo, pois naquele sítio vai levar
chapa estrutural. A way to define where the cable will be positioned in the structural square panel that will be welded in that place.

46. Entretanto deixem-me mostrar-vos os bancos feitos pelo meu amigo
Henrique, da Estof Car, aproveitados de um carro qualquer, mas com as
medidas que me interessam. Falta depois ver a melhor posição de condução,
afiná-los e fazer-lhes as traseiras e encaixes, para depois serem forrados. Meanwaile let me show you my seats, made by my friend Henrique, of Estof Car, reutilized from some donor, but perfect for me. Follows the set up to meet my best drive position, the backs of seats and brackets to fasten with chassis, then they will be covered with something little expensive, I don't know, but they have to be in gray tones.

Passemos agora para os arcos junto aos guarda lamas. Eles fazem parte do
chassis e ao contrário do livro em que aparecem feitos com chapa 1,5mm e
barra chata de 3mm, aqui a barra foi substituída por tubo quadrado de 20mm.
Now lets pass to that arcs near rear wings. they are part of the chassis. Insted of use 3mm flat bar, I used 20mm square tube. |

48. Convenhamos que aquele tubo custa curvar na oficina, mas assim fica
muito melhor. Is more dificult to bend it, but the result is far better.

49. Passando
a outro sector (e nesta fase quem vê o carro parece que não avança, mas
estes pormenores têm de ser passados a pente fino, um por um) a furação
Toyota 116.4mm tem de ser transformada em Ford 108.0, daí serem feitos estes
espaçadores que também alargam o eixo traseiro. O meu amigo
Ernesto ajudou a arranjá-los de borla.
Depois foram zincados.
Lets see other sector of the
construction (in this stage people who see the car says it doesn't goes on,
but these details have to be scrutinized one by one) the Toyota's PCD is
116.4mm and it has to be modified to Ford's 108.0. |

50. Simulação de um guarda-lamas para verificar se é a forma que me
interessa e também a largura do eixo. Mockup of a rear wing just to see the perfect form that I want and width of axle as well.
